Scarborough flights - where your trip starts
Scarborough is the gateway to Tobago. The airport is not here. Chances are, you are going to have to pass through Scarborough on your way to one of the resorts. the airport is at Crown Point. Tobago's Crown Point Airport is the smaller of the two airports in Trinidad and Tobago. Most vacationers will fly into Trinidad's Piarco International Airport, which is 16 miles from Port of Spain, the country's capital. Flights from all over the world, including the United Sates, Canada, the United Kingdom, South America, and other Caribbean islands, arrive at Trinidad's Piacro regularly. Tobago is generally an easy destination to reach, but Crown Point International Airport is smaller than Trinidad's airport, and fewer airlines stop there. Both airports have landing strips large enough to accommodate almost any size aircraft, and banking and dining facilities for travelers' convenience. There are several flights from the UK to Crown Point International Airport in Tobago each week. UK flights originate from Gatwick, Heathrow and now Manchester. Airlines going to Tobago include Caribbean Airlines, British Airways and Virgin. Excel Airways operate a charter flight out of Gatwick twice a week. The Thursday flight is nonstop both ways, and the Saturday flight goes out via St. Kitts but is non-stop home from Tobago to Gatwick. Flights take about 8 - 9 hours. BWIA fly from Manchester twice a week to Barbados and onto Trinidad, from where you can easily get a 15 minute flight across to Tobago. You can also fly to Barbados and get a connection to Tobago with Caribbean Star.
